• Type the administrator password if asked and then press enter. If condition administrator password is blank then press enter.
• EXPAND D:\I386\comctl32.dl_ C:\Windows\System32, type the commond line and then hit enter.
• Then restart the computer.

If you are unable to expand files then repair the windows XP installation and to do this operation follow the given below steps:-

• At the welcome setup screen you need to press to start windows XP Setup.
• Then read the End User License Agreement and then press F8 function key to accept and to continue.
• To repair the current installation press R key and follow the instructions which is displayed on your PC screen.
